Mission CLEAN OFF DESK Accomplished!

Oh gosh, it's been quite a while since I've posted on here.  I was inspired last night to clear off my desk.  I was watching a movie when I realized that I haven't worked on anything on my computer desk for weeks and when I looked up I saw a mess.  It was quite ridiculous.  I decided it was time to clean it off and give myself a new slate and try to make this a more productive corner.  So here it is - I just need to make sure I keep it clear and organized. *smiles*

The way I see it... a desk should only have the things that are used regularly and everything should be easily accessible.  Knowing what I have and where it is will save me a lot of time AND money.  When I cleared and cleaned everything out I found THREE staplers.  Why the heck did I end up with three staplers? Because when I couldn't find something I just bought it again. What a terrible habit, who else is guilty of this?

This won't be the first time I admitted this... I have an obsession with pens.  I found a BUNCH of pens that I dare not count how many I had in my possession however... I took a giant step last night and selected pens that I felt I would never use put it in a bag and took it to work.  Others can use it, I can use it, and I won't care if customers or co-workers take them from me.  Well, not as much anyway. *smiles*  I stowed away the other "regular" pens that still had caps and were full of ink and I was happy with the way they felt when I wrote with them in designated ziplock bags (one bag for black and the other for blue).

...and all of my "fancy", "preferred", and "everyday" pens are easily accessible on my desk top all that work so no more random scribbling on scratch pieces of paper.

Car Trunk Mission Accomplished!

I went to the store with a co-worker of mine because we were shopping for another co-worker's house warming gift.  When we got to the car I immediately opened my backseat door so we can put our gifts in the back of the car.  I realized that I didn't know what was in my trunk. Why don't I ever use my trunk to hold things that I buy when I go shopping?

So the next day I opened my trunk and decided to empty it.  I found old textbooks, a dvd player, feathers *smiles*, CDs, and so many other things that didn't belong there.  Now all my trunk has in it is my spare tire, tools to install my spare tire if needed, jumper cables, and an umbrella. It was great loading all of my groceries in there tonight. *Smiles*

Casual Update - Seeking Comments/Suggestions

So for the last few days I have been taking a break from the organizing kick I had =)  I still have it however I am running out of main areas to tackle. Between celebrating a belated Valentine's, my car acting funky, and my friend going to the hospital related to her pregnancy I've been pretty distracted from my blog!

Here is my request - please post your comments/suggestions on what I have posted so far AND what you would like to see me cover in the future.  I can't promise that I will implement exactly what you suggest but your comments may inspire me to tackle something else!

Fridge Conquest - It was a tough battle!

I should have known better than to tackle this expecting to be done in an hour or so!  *smiles* I'm glad I did though, it had to be done!  How much food goes to waste and how much time is spent trying to figure out what to eat?  I have done it so many times, open the fridge thinking "man, we have nothing to eat" or "eh, I don't want anything in here because it'd take too much time to fix something." In the middle of this battle I decided to make some juice for the next couple of days for us too (too darn ambitious!) haha. It's not perfect but it is a whole lot better than it was before. See for yourself!

Before...

After!

Sock/Underwear Drawers - Conquered!

WOW!  So here's what I did...I emptied out my two top dresser drawers on to my bed (hence the Before picture).  After sorting through by throwing away undergarments I am never going to wear again and overused socks that needed to desperately retire (holes, tears, stains, evidence wear etc). The whole process between the Before picture and the After picture took less than one hour!  This project has made me realize that I have more socks than underwear & bras combined.  I think I just realized what I really want for Valentine's Day. *smiles*
